RMI’s Superefficient Housing Initiative collaborates with diverse players in the housing sector. Led by RMI’s Superefficient Housing team, the Residential Energy Efficiency Leaders  (REEL) working group in 2011 convened monthly meetings of ten public housing authorities striving to work for greater energy efficiency. REEL comprises North America’s leading green public housing authorities and promotes mainstreaming “superefficiency”—energy efficiency designs and interventions that can deliver housing at least 60 percent more efficient than today’s code at comparable construction costs.
